The Arms & Armor Irish Sword has a blade crafted from 6150 high carbon steel with a tempered hardness of 50 HRC; the hilt is steel and the wooden grip is tightly bound in brown-dyed leather.

With its open ring pommel and spatulate quillon ends, this arming sword is distinctly Irish in origin and unique in being one of the rare medieval sword designs which can be identified as being associated solely with one nationality. The open ring pommel is pierced with the visible tang of the blade and some originals may have had solid face plates for the ring which would have made the pommel appear as a disc pommel at a glance. This particular Irish Sword replicated by Arms and Armor is based on an original dated to about 1480.
