The Bohemian Broadsword by Arms & Armor is a late 15th century bastard sword with a distinctive writhen crossguard and pommel - a twisted, gothic branch-like style popular in Central Europe. The 6150 high carbon steel blade has a hexagonal cross section geometry which gives it notable overall stiffness for capable thrusting whilst retaining a thin cutting plane which will slice through a target with minimized drag. A shortened central fuller removed unneeded weight from the thickened base of the blade. The crossguard and pommel are crafted from steel and the wood guard is masterfully wrapped in stitched leather which was shrunk to a tight fit and infused with beeswax - this is a grip wrapping method that is long-lasting, practical and traditional. Well-suited to both single and double-handed use, this cut-and-thrust bastard sword slices, cuts and pierces with efficiently designed authority. What happened to the reviews? |
