    This reproduction of an Polish 18th Century Hussar Saber / Szabla has a blade forged from tempered EN45 high carbon steel which is lavishly etched and embellished on both sides in scrollwork filigree; on one side of the blade is etched Hussaria and upon the other it is etched with Jesus Maria Josef Spes Mea (Jesus, Mary and Joseph are my my hope).

    The hilt is fashioned from finely cast antiqued brass and its grip is wood with a wrap of leather and inlaid twisted brass wire. One side of the guard has a thumb ring to ensure the safe and secure placement of the thumb against the guard for greater control of the blade. A sword knot with a band of woven cloth and a tassel completes the sword.

    The saber comes with a scabbard of steel with an integrated hanging ring.
