The regal King’s Stiletto has a rigid, triangular blade crafted from high carbon steel; the well-detailed hilt is cast from antiqued brass. Included is a stitched sheath of leather with an integrated belt loop and retaining strap.

This fairly large Stiletto is named for the stately ruler who bears his image upon the end of the hilt. The slender form of the Stiletto makes it ideal for convenient carry for self defense. Somewhat ironically, it also makes it the ideal concealed dagger for the assassin. The stiff, puncturing blade is ideal for puncturing with ease through thick fabrics and clothing and to reach the vital organs of the assassin’s mark. The weapon caused so much discord in the tempestuous realm of Renaissance Italy that authorities sometimes attempted to ban the Stiletto by deeming it ‘’arma insidiosa’’ - an ‘’insidious weapon’’.

This dagger is well-suited as both a fashionable, courtly sidearm - or as a dagger crafted for a black-humored assassin with regicide upon his mind.

This item is not constructed to the ‘’battle-ready’’ standard of a sword or large dagger, but it is constructed solidly enough to be used within the parameters expected of a stiletto. The item uses a short tang due to the elaborate hilt construction instead of a standard tang that extends to the pommel. It is sturdy enough to be used strictly for piercing or thrusting. It should not be used to bang against hard objects or to be pulled and torqued when within a target.
