With its forward-sloping blade this Cutlass is designed to deliver power hacks and chops at range and its well-tapered tip makes an able piercing weapon in capable hands. For yet closer combat the knucklebow has been fully formed into a knuckle-duster for gritty, jaw-bending blows for scrums both belowdecks and in alleyways.

The blade is forged from EN45 high carbon steel and the hilt is brass and the grip is finished with polished wood between the brass duster rings. In the close-up photo of the hand holding the sword, the hand itself is a size Medium hand. Be aware that large hands may have difficulty comfortably wielding this Cutlass.

The Cutlass comes with a wood-core scabbard which is completed with a tightly-fitted and stitched leather with brass hardware and brass hanging rings.

Please Note: It is normal for the scabbard of this item to have a slight gap with the guard when fully sheathed.

The cutlass came in good condition. My only problem was the fuzz that comes off the sheath when I pull it out, but it doesn’t damage the blade in anyway. I cannot report on the effectiveness or durability of the sword as I am only hanging it on my wall and did not buy sharpening.

Second to the worst that I’ve ever received. The blade does not align with the knuckles. The blade is set crooked. The wood inlays are stained dark brown and there is stain remaining in the red scabbard as well as the brass pieces.i bought this as a present for someone and it’s by far some of the worst work that I’ve ever seen and as a smith would be ashamed to even deliver it to put my name on it. Also, the maker didn’t put his name on it.the brass isn’t even polished. There are weld spatter marks on the brass sections. It may be the worse thing I’ve ever seen. I paid for sharpening. It’s not sharp. I threw it in the trash. I don’t want my money back. Just know, I’m never ordering anything else.
