The Balteus or Cingulum was an ornamented belt worn by roman soldiers. They seem to have been largely personalized as a wide variety of bronze or tin plates and medallions of various designs and symbols have been found. A valuable possession, the Balteus was not entirely decorative, as it was used to help support the weight of armor and suspended the Pugio sidearm dagger. An apron, adorned with medallions serves as a groin guard.

This Balteus, made by Deepeeka, has been made from strips of leather. Etched brass plates and medallions have been riveted in place.

expensive I’m not sure if this is worth the price I paid. Don’t get me wrong, It is a very well made piece of kit. But it just doesn’t scream $175 USD.
