Double-headed axes are not known to be used as weapons of war in medieval Europe. Regardless, they are intimidating as a weapon. The turks were known to use double-headed axes and double-headed axes appear to have also been used to sacrifice bulls in the ancient Greek and Minoan cultures.

Made in the Czech Republic, this double-headed axe is made from high-carbon steel, the edges have been slighly sharpened and the head is riveted and wedged into its wooden haft. The grip is of brown leather and a latticework of leather is held onto the haft with brass pins.
