The Del Tin Lombard Sword dates from the seventh century and is a beautiful example of a Migration Era blade. The guard and pommel both feature a two piece design, where the upper and lower portion are riveted together with a wooden spacer between. The pommel features a knob on one side reminiscent of the loose pommel rings of an earlier period. The hilt components are lost wax cast in bronze with detailed design work, while the grip is made of hard wood. The gently tapering blade features a wide shallow fuller for nearly it's full length. The unsharpened blade is made of well tempered Chrome-Vanadium steel with a hardness of 50HRC and is peened at the pommel for durability.
