This 17th Century Duelist’s Dagger by Del Tin of Italy has a blade of Chrome-Vanadium steel which is tempered to possess a hardness of 50 HRC. The guard and pommel are antique-finished steel and the wooden grip is tightly bound in twisted steel wire which is accented with cast brass ferrules.

The slender, piercing blade and elongated quillons of this dagger make it quite suitable as a left-hand dagger for paired combat with a rapier. The wide quillons both protect the hand and foul the blade of the foe - further hand protection is granted by the guard ring. Unlike many dueling daggers however, this one is unobtrusive and easy to wear, making it double as an excellent dagger for everyday wear and not solely an accompaniment to dueling.
