The Del Tin Early Spanish Rapier is based on an early 16th Century example and may be a rare example of an espado ropera (robe or costume sword) thought to be the prototype of the rapier. Features a diamond cross section blade tapering to a thrusting point. The guard is solid steel and features S curved quillons and a ring guard. The steel disc pommel features a raised design, while the grip is wood wrapped in leather over wire for a secure hold. The unsharpened blade is made of well tempered Chrome-Vanadium steel with a hardness of 50HRC and is peened at the pommel for durability.
