With its fluted edges and angular plates of 16 gauge steel, this set of Gothic style leg armor pairs protection with the deadly, dread style of imposing Gothic armor worn by nobles, mercenaries and professional men-at-arms of the tumultuous 15th century.

The well-articulated poleyn and cuisse armor plates are swivel riveted to allow for a good freedom of movement. They are buckled onto the leg with a set of three antiqued, adjustable steel buckles paired with thick leather straps. The interior of the armor is blackened to give it some resistance to rust.

good legs for a good price. So for starters, i searched the internet for hours to find a review on these legs and couldn’t. so i bought them and hoped for the best. and i gotta say i am impressed, they aren’t perfect but every issue is easily fixable. this is my 4th set of legs and by far my favorite.
    Pros:
Beautiful design, one of the nicest Gothic legs I’ve ever seen, and by far the best in the price point.
Good steel, 16 guage. little to no flaws.
Good leather, the leather is thick and looks like it will last a long time. I’ve owned tonnes of armour throughout the years and I’ve had some pretty terrible leather come on pieces worth twice as much as these.
The articulation on the top half of the legs is great, sturdy rivets, moves very well.
They are the perfect size, I’m 6’2″ 165 pounds and they are the prefect length and width. they couldn’t fit better.

    Cons:
They don’t come pointed for a harness. easy fix though.
The knee articulation isn’t the greatest only bends to a 90 degree angle, the final picture they have is its max bending point.
The plates that cover the back of the thigh do not close, the hinges were riveted too far into the plate. easy fix though.
The buckles seem a little on the lighter side compared to the rest of it, we will see if they hold up. not really a flaw, but I’ve seen much better buckles.

so in conclusion, if your looking for a perfect set of legs that you can wear right out of the box, these are not for you. if your looking for a beautiful piece of art, that with a few little adjustments either done by yourself or a local smith, will be fully functional and will turn heads for years to come then you’ve found the right legs! i could not be happier with my purchase, cant beat the price, the shipping was crazy fast, they are way beyond what i was expecting.
side note: if your going to do the adjustments yourself don’t forget to pick up a pack of rivets!

I decided to try these out and am very glad I did. Both legs are well made and actully fit me well. There are not many options comercially available for gothic pattern armor and I am very happy to have found these. My desire was for something like the Helmsmidt armour for Sigismond of Tyrol and this gets me close. You do need to wear the armour and clothes tofully appreciate the techniques of fighting in the middle ages. Now if I can find a good horse armour too.
