This is the Official Conquest Black Ice Armour. Conquest is the biggest LARP gathering in Europe. This leg armour features a unique fantasy style combining blackened steel and regular steel together. The armour protects the front and outer part of the thigh, the knee and just below the knee. Pair this armour with the matching Black Ice greaves for full leg coverage. It also pairs nicely with any other steel or blackened steel armour. The armor is crafted from 18 gauge steel. The armour attaches to your leg by strap and buckle and also has an adjustable height strap to attach to your belt.

The Dimensions for each Plate:
Large Thigh Plate: 12 1/2 ” length, 10” width
Outer Thigh Plate: 7” length, 4” width
Knee Plate: 8 1/2” length, 11” width
Small Lower Plate: 4” length, 8 1/2” width

Bad knee design So the thigh protection is able to fit a variety of thigh diameters, which means unless you’re exceptionally bony or beefy, it will cover you fine. The problem is the knee. The leather strapping for the knee guard is too long, and the extra slack makes them flop back and forth constantly. The other problem is that strange plate that hangs below the knee guard. That goes underneath the shin armor you can also buy with this. Problem is, that plate digs into your leg REALLY bad if you try taking a knee. If all the stress just went into the knee guard, it would be fine, because you can just fill that up with foam padding or wear kneepads. But that plate will make your shins hate you.

If you are willing and able to modify the armor, its a good starting point. Otherwise, you might be better off looking at different options.
