Covid-19 Update
We are shipping as normal. However, the shipping companies have been experiencing a lot of transit delays under the current situations. At this point it is not uncommon for shipments to be "stuck" for several days. Please understand and expect this right now. In virtually all cases, the shipments are arriving as expected, but many are taking longer than any of us are used to.

This Greatsword has a blade that was made by Tinker Pearce and a grip and scabbard which were crafted by Valiant Armory - it is unknown which of these two makers created the crossguard and pommel. The blade has a medium amount of light scratches, scuffs, small dotted pitting and other light cosmetic blemishes. The steel hilt components have some moderate blemishing. The grip and the scabbard are in excellent condition.

The blade is 5160 high carbon steel which has a pronounced and raised diamond cross section and a stiff tempering treatment to create a sword with a blade both robust and rigid which is well suited for powerful puncturing which loses minimal force to flex. While a stiff sword blade it does retain enough flexibility to ensure that it is not brittle.

Though the blade is optimized for thrusting it does retain enough thickness to ensure that it can cut and slice with notably ability, particularly when one factors in the force and leverage garnered by the long blade and grip when in motion. The base of the blade extending out to about 5’’ is unsharpened before beginning a transition into a sharpened edge.

The crossguard and pommel are steel. The hardwood grip is tightly bound in red leather. The scabbard is wood with a fitted binding wrap of red leather. The chape is stainless steel and the knotted sword hangers are brown leather with buckles of antiqued steel.
