This 17th Century Swedish Sword has a thick, blunted blade that makes it suitable for stage and sport combat. Hand-Forged in the Czech Republic, the sword has a blade of 14260 CSN High Carbon Steel – the blade is well-tempered and it has a hardness of 50-52 HRC. The edges of the blunt blade are at least 2 mm thick.

The complex hilt is forged into form from steel; the guard has been welded to the blade tang to give it a very secure fitting. The grip is overlaid with twisted steel wire.

This 17th Century sword has a hilt that gives very good protection for the hand without being restrictive to the hand. The thumb grip puts the thumb in a position that gives better control of the sword, whilst the ring protects it this position. The sword is fairly agile considering the thickness of the blunted stage combat blade.

The default edge of the blade is moderately sharp, if you wish it to have a more refined and sharper edge, then please select our sharpening option.
A scabbard is available separately for this sword. A picture link to it is to under the sword photos in the ”also available” section.
