This Half-Sleeve Haubergeon is crafted from 8 mm rings for a particularly dense weave of tight mail and each ring is meticulously hand-riveted. This haubergeon is surprisingly flexible when one considers the large amount of rings involved in its construction. Encompassing and flexible, a mail haubergeon is essentially a steel mesh shirt that brings a substantial upgrade to personal defense. Though often depicted in movies and television as little to no barrier to weaponry, well-constructed mail is in fact exceptionally difficult to cut through. When coupled with a padded gambeson this combined and layered defense gives substantial protection overall.
