This set of pauldrons are constructed from 16 gauge steel; they are articulated with an internal system of thick and riveted leather banding coupled with a set of sliding rivets fitted into slots for movement.

These pauldrons are worn by tying their upper leather tabs to a gorget or cuirass with the included leather cords – this hangs them into position to support their weight and ensures they will not be slide down the arms. A bottom strap and an an antiqued steel buckle secure the pauldrons to the upper arm and allows them to move in tandem with the arm.

Please Note: For display on the mannequin this armor has been tied into position so as not to confuse it with other pieces of armor which are not included. To properly wear this armor you will need to attach it to a cuirass or gorget.

I purchased these a few months back and they’ve become a favorite piece in my kit.

They look great, simple, and work well with any armored outfit I add them to. They don’t weigh much and I barely notice they’re there. I feel confident while wearing these as they are very sturdy. They’re only a little flexible because the leather is so thick and stiff, but they can be worked to add some flexibility. The leather and buckles are acceptable quality.

My search for spaulders ends with these; I would buy them again if I ever needed to!

The pauldrons were a great fit and I had no issues with mobility or weight. They are of high quality and can protect you from strong blows. My only issue is that my pauldrons did not come shipped with the included leather straps as advertised, which are needed in order to tie the pauldrons onto a gorget or mail.
