Simple, versatile, unobtrusive and elegant - this quillon dagger is in style that resonated through many centuries and would be worn as a reliable sidearm for men-at-arms as varied as the late Norman knights right through to the Roundheads and Cavaliers of the English Civil War. The long life of this design is owed to its effective design in a slim form that was easy for everyday wear, yet large enough for the grappling scrum of a battlefield.

The blade of this example from Tod Cutler of the UK is fashioned from high carbon steel with an approximate 50 HRc; its tapered profile coupled with a diamond cross-section to strengthen and stiffen the blade optimize it for deep piercing strikes through thick cloaks and cloth. The crossguard of steel protects the hand from the foe and prevents the hand from sliding onto the blade as well - its width is just enough to ably serve this purpose yet not so long as to be a hindrance for daily wear.

The blade is mounted into the hilt with a peen on the pommel and the wooden grip is bound in cord and overlaid with leather. The dagger is completed with a double-layer scabbard of durable vegetable tanned leather with a protective brass chape and integrated leather cords for wear.

Scabbard is available in a variety of dyed colors.
