This replica of a WW1 German Army Trench Knife has a blade of high carbon steel – it is stamped with replica makers marks and inspection stamps for authenticity. The guard is steel and the grip is two halves of wood riveted to the blade tang. The sheath is of steel and it is fitted with a leather belt loops and retaining strap.

Designed for close-quarters fighting in the trenches of WW1, this dagger is small enough to be handy in the densest of trench scrums, but large enough to be both menacing and deadly.

1 review for German WWI Trench Knife – Universal Swords

  1. Evan Fitzpatrick

The knife itself is amazing, easy to sharpen, sturdy, overall a rugged tough knife. I personally use it as it was intended, a boot knife. The first time I used it I was digging around in dirt with it, stripping bark, as I had forgotten my other knife, and though the tip was blunted it was easily resharpened, and the edge held amazingly. My one issue with the knife is the sheath, which came to me rusted, there was something wrong with the leather attached to it, and I had to get rid of it. I easily found a replacement, it doesn’t quite match though it fits quite well. Overall a wonderful knife, any application you can think of for a knife like this; it can fill it.
