The Limited Edition Oathkeeper has a blade of damascus steel; the rippled, flowing patterns of damascus are created by melding two separate steels together into a single blade. The patterning it creates is akin to the patterning of Valyrian Steel as seen on HBO’s Game of Thrones. It seems clear that George R.R. Martin was inspired by the legends surrounding damascus steel in our own history and rebirthed it as Valyrian Steel in the Game of Thrones world.

This licensed replica, recreated from the actual show prop, is in a Limited Edition of 500 - The blade is stamped with its production number and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The elaborate hilt of Lannister Lion fashion is of bronze plated metal. A faux jewel is fitted to the hilt on both sides of the blade.

The sword comes with a wooden wall hanging plaque bearing the arms of House Tarth. Mounting hardware to fit it to a wall is included.

The impressive and austere sword Ice, once deftly wielded by Eddard Stark was melted down and the priceless steel used to fashion two swords - one of which is Oathkeeper, as named by Brienne of Tarth.

Though it was the intention of Tywin Lannister that the swords be Lannister heirlooms in service to his House, Oathkeeper was instead granted to Brienne by Jaime Lannister. It has become a fitting Valyrian sword for one of the finest warriors in Westeros. Should she fulfill her oath to Catelyn Stark to protect her children, then the steel that was once Ice will again be used in service to House Stark. Will Oathkeeper live up to its name as Brienne fulfills her vowed duty? Or will Brienne instead use the blade for personal revenge?
