A forerunner of many long parrying daggers of later years, its long reach made the Poignard very effective. It saw much use in its own day as a backup weapon on the battlefield and was carried at court when swords were forbidden, for they made formidable weapons in the hands of an expert. Features an unsharpened carbon steel blade, steel guard and pommel, and a wire wrapped grip. Includes a matching leather scabbard with steel throat and tip.
