This helmet has the general outline of the Roman Imperial Gallic helmets of middle 1st century AD, but its simplicity and lack of a crest attachment suggests that it was probably made for the Roman Auxilliary Infantry. Made of solid brass with hinged cheek pieces. Includes a padded arming cap.
