The Albion Stamford Viking sword is named for the legendary Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066, often considered to mark the end of the Viking era in England.
The Stamford is inspired by several examples found in northern Europe and swords like this would have been used by warriors of many different nations at the time.

The Albion Stamford Viking sword features a sharpened 1075 carbon steel blade heat-treated to a fine temper in the Albion Forge Shop. The grip is of stabilized birch, wrapped with cord and covered with the highest grade vegetable-tanned calfskin. The guard and pommel are solid steel.
