The Generation 2 Roman Pompeii Gladius features a sharpened carbon steel blade with heavy duty full length tang. The Pompeii style was developed to compliment the Roman fighting technique emphasizing the thrust instead of the cut. It was at the tip of this sword the Romans forged an Empire. The hilt features a round hard wood guard, ball pommel and knurled wood grip with polished steel accents. Includes a wood scabbard with black leather wrap and steel accents.
Generation 2 swords offer a great compromise between durability and weight. They are made for strength. They test them on 2x4s and telephone poles! As well as in direct steel to steel tests.
