The Generation 2 Black Prince Sword is a Type XVa Hand and a Half Sword. Based on an original Late 14th century sword, which is believed to possibly be the sword of Edward the Black Prince. The Black Prince, son of Edward III and father of Richard II, was known as a great warrior. The Generation 2 Black Prince Sword features a sharpened, distilled taper, high carbon steel blade with strong full length tang that is peened onto the pommel. The handle is hard-wood wrapped in leather. The cross guard and pommel are solid steel. Includes a hardwood scabbard covered in black leather with adjustable suspension system to affix to the belt of your choice.
Generation 2 swords offer a great compromise between durability and weight. They are made for strength. They test them on 2x4s and telephone poles! As well as in direct steel to steel tests.
