The Scramasax was a utility knife and tool utilized by several Germanic tribes, specifically the Saxons and the Lombard warriors, between the 4th and 10th centuries. The Scramasax or seax could range in size from a small utility knife to the size of a short sword. This version is of the small variety. Think of it as a Dark Age pocket knife.
Features a bone handle and a single-edged blade constructed out of high-carbon steel and detailed with an authentic etched ''niello'' design. Includes a durable leather sheath with intricate knot work and belt frog.
