Korean straight single edge blade design can be traced back to 4th-5th century and pre-dates the Katana. The Kris Cutlery Korean Sword features a sharpened high carbon steel blade. The blade is distill tapered and differentially tempered allowing for a hard cutting edge and softer spine. At the base of the blade is brass sleeve. A blackened iron Tsuba guard has four lobes and brass spacer on both sides. The handle is wrapped in brown poly-blend ribbon and has a black zinc alloy metal ferrule and pommel. The handle is pegged on the blade's tang with a bamboo peg. The black lacquered wood scabbard has a metal sleeve at the opening and at the bottom. Includes a black sword bag.
