The Hanwei Torino Rapier is based on models of 17th century swept-hilt rapiers of Italian ancestry and combine the better features of several pieces. The blade is made of forged unsharpened high-carbon steel. The guard has an ornate design with straight quillons to protect the hand and for wrapping the fingers around to increase functionality and one’s grip strength. The hilt components are made of stainless steel to resist corrosion and have been treated with an aging process to give the sword an antique appearance. Includes a matching scabbard with brown leather wrap.
