Angus Trim – XIX.2 Longsword

Additional information

This Type XIX.2 Longsword by Angus Trim has a fine-edged blade of 5160 high carbon steel which was finished with a marquenched hardness of 51-53 HRc. The blade is hexagonal in cross section which gives it greater rigidity and stiffness over many other medieval sword forms. The base of this blade type is thickened for enhanced durability and any excess weight is removed with the triple fullers on both sides of the blade

The crossguard and pommel are of heat-blued steel and the grip is stabilized hardwood which is tightly bound in vibrant red leather. This sword retains and refines the fine cutting ability of later medieval swords and imparts enhanced piercing and puncturing ability to it with the XIX.2s hexagonal blade cross section.
