The XVIa.4 War Sword by Angus Trim is his answer to the Albion Crecy; its blade is extended even over the length of Albion’s Crecy to give this performance cutting sword substantial reach and fearsome striking velocity. The cut-and-thrust blade is crafted from 5160 high carbon steel with a marquenched tempered hardness of 51-53 HRc with a keenly honed cutting edge. The crossguard and pommel are of steel with a heat-blued finish and the grip is stabilized hardwood which is tightly bound in leather. A recessed nut assembly firmly anchors the blade into the hilt for an overall tough and sturdy construction.
The ATrim XVIa.4 is in my opinion the finest competition cutting longsword on the market today. I have won many cutting medals with mine at both national level and international cutting tournaments. It has cutting performance to match the much heavier type XVIIIc cutting swords, but is much more nimble and agile. I highly recommend this longsword.
