A masterful weapon for the modern duelist, the APOC Butterfly Knives meld the surprisingly compact and dexterous design of the classic martial arts knives with modern materials and metallurgy for maximum ruggedness and dependability. The black-coated blades are fashioned from 9260 high carbon steel with a hardness of 56 HRc at the blades edge. The grip scales are milled from tough G10 fiberglass laminate and secured to the thick blade tang for a robust, full-tang construction.

The flattened inner sides of the daggers allow for them to be placed next to one another in the sheath, making them eminently compact and easy to wear. To an ignorant or distracted foe a quick draw turns turns what appears to be a single knife into two, and in skilled hands the Butterfly Knives excel at both offense and defense; broad blades assist in parrying larger weapons and the back hooks open up the opportunity for entrapment of an opponents weapon. A knuckle bar not only protects the hand, but allows the bearer to strike with shattering force.

Included with this twin-dagger set is a Kydex sheath with MOLLE compatible attachment points. A durable nylon belt loop and buttoned retaining strap complete the APOC Butterfly Knives.

A flaw in both blades. A pit on the inside of one blade face, and a chip on the top inside of the other.
Neither seems to impair performance, but I feel like I got “Munitions Grade” and got charged full price.

Since neither flaw is visible when sheathed or displayed I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble to return them, but I would caution others against paying $170 for flawed blades.

Other than that, they are sharp for sure and seem to be very durable.
It’s a shame that the factory at APOC doesn’t exercise more quality control…

These are an excellent set of butterfly swords. Like everything from APOC that I’ve ordered from KoA, mine were great quality with no flaws or manufacturing errors. They are especially useful as a carry weapon since they feel and look like a singe straight bladed knife when sheathed on your belt. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. They are still a good value, as higher quality martial arts butterflies are even more expensive, but they’re a little pricey. I would recommend these to someone looking for an effective, practical set of butterflies.
If you have any issue with anything you buy from KoA contact them. I’ve never had any issues, but any time I’ve had contact with their staff they have been helpful and professional.
