This adjustable and stout baldric is designed to allow you to wear a large sword across your back. A pair of leather-covered quillon-hangers hold the guard in place whilst a short demi-scabbard can be buckled into an adjustable position to allow the baldric to be fitted to swords of varying sizes. It can be adjusted to fit swords as large as a claymore, or even made to fit single-handed swords. The back of the baldric is notched with numerous slotted anchor points by which the demi-scabbard can be buckled into position The photos demonstrate the baldric used to fit a claymore, a two-handed sword and a short Katabalger sword.

The baldric is constructed of thick, yet supple black leather with brass-riveted construction. It can be adjusted to fit with a brass front buckle and notched strap. An additional, thinner, perpendicular buckled strap helps keep the baldric in position.
Please Note: An additional waist belt was used to demonstrate the use of the second strap – no standard waist belt is included with this baldric.

Very happy with this item, the adjustable demi-sheath fits both my zweihander and gladius (both from Cold Steel). Granted, I’m a larger guy (6′, ~170lbs) but walking around with this stunning piece with or without armor/blades always turns heads.

Only reason I’m giving it 4-stars instead of 5 is because without any blades hung the baldric has a tendency to slide around while sparing (even with the secondary strap in use), and while wearing it I cannot for the life of me sheathe my zweihander over my back on account of how narrow/snug the demi-sheath is and how long my blade is; additionally my blade has ring guards along the crossguard, meaning I have to hang my blade’s parrying hooks on the baldric hanger hooks. These are simple compatibility issues with my personal setup, the baldric itself is amazing, sturdy and functional.

For longsword users who what a back-hanging sheath I highly recommend this. LARPers be warned, the demi sheath is very narrow/slim, I can’t fit my hand-and-a-half trainers in it, so I doubt you’ll be able to fit any non-steel trainers/LARP blades in it.
