The Darksword Armory Medieval Knight Sword is based on a 14th century original found in the Musdes invalides, Paris, France. The smooth quillons and blade reflect both design and taste of the late medieval period, eventually giving way to the gothic era. The Medieval knight’s blade is forged with High Carbon Steel and beautifully set with a deep fuller. The richly detailed handle is made of wood, wrapped in high grade black leather. Includes a wood scabbard with black leather wrap and matching, integrated leather sword belt.

Wonderful I bought this sword over five years ago and it has stood the test of time. The sword is very solidly built and even when I bought it years ago with it’s 1060 steel it is VERY tough. The upgrade to 5160 Carbon should please anyone. It has been used quite alot for I used to train sword and shield via HEMA (now I study the longsword) and it cuts as well as it did when I first got it, though proper sword care can attest to that.
The only “bad” things I noticed was that the scabbard is kinda lose and the sword doesn’t fit into it snug. But that’s no real biggie. And the because the steel is so tough it’s hard to maintain it’s edge and can be a burden to sharpen, which again is no biggie.
Overall Darksword Armory did a great job in forging it and I am very pleased. If you plan on purchasing this item I highly recommend it.

Good sword I bought this sword about two months ago . I really like the handling and balance . I have bent the tip and hammered it straight again after thrusts into a wooden Pell. I ordered it sharpened which created a very slim sharp point. I have seen people on line stabbing and cutting a 50 gallon barrel with this sword without major damage to the blade. I would not advise this .
