Deer Horn Knife

This Deer Horn Knife is crafted from a solid billet of 420 stainless steel. The blade edges are sharp and the the protruding blades terminate in acute tips – all of which make this dagger quite a deadly weapon. Most of the blade edges are sharpened – only the inside of the central grip bar and the inside halves of the reverse spikes are left blunted. The grip is two halves of hardwood which are dual riveted to the thick body of the blade to ensure an overall solid construction to this fighting dagger.

One of the more unique forms of bladed weaponry, the Deer Horn Knife is a traditional Chinese weapon with a strong association with the martial art of Ba Gua Zhang. Typically carried in a pair, these fighting knives were easy to conceal under traditional Chinese clothing; the array of blades and points are designed to protect the hand and entangle and deflect larger weapons such as spears and swords. Being light and centered around the hand itself, the Deer Horn Knife is quick, responsive and intuitive to use when blocking and deflecting the strikes of a foe.

Not merely a defensive weapon, the Deer Horn Knife is capable of quick and deep slashes and plunging puncture wounds. The hand guard can also function as sharpened brass knuckles – to predictably grievous effect.
