Additional information

Based on a historical rapier dated to c.1620, this reproduction by Del Tin a Chrome-Vanadium steel blade with a finished tempered hardness of 50 HRC. A brass button is crimped onto the tip for additional safety for sparring or stage combat. The swept hilt affords excellent protection to the hand with a variety of gripping styles; the symmetry of the ring guards allow for the sword to be used for both right and left-handed use.

The hilt is cast from steel with an antiqued finish and the hardwood grip is bound in tight braided steel wire which is fitted between two cast brass ferrules. A solid peen of the blade tang over the pommel durably pairs the blade with the hilt.
