Devil’s Edge – Medieval Flamberge Blade Dagger – High Carbon Steel Blade

In stock

This Medieval Flamberge Blade Dagger has a flame-like blade hand-forged from tempered high carbon steel. The blade has been honed to a sharp edge to ensure that it can cut and slash with great ability and it is quite rigid and stiff so that it can puncture through thick clothing or into the weak point of an armored harness with ease. The blade is durably mounted into a hilt with a well-cast crossguard and pommel of brass and a vibrant and highly durable grip of crimson pakkawood.

The dagger is matched with a tough sheath of thick and well-stitched leather which is completed with a buttoned retaining strap.

Devils Edge Medieval Flamberge Dagger

The construction of the dagger itself seems solid. The pommel feels weighty enough to be a macehead, and it’s what draws the PoB back to an inch behind the guard. While both the dagger and the sheath itself appear well-made, the dagger fits into the sheath very loosely and the only think keeping it in is the retention strap; This combined with the weight of the pommel make it falling out of the sheath a real possibility if you walk around with it on your belt, since the pommel makes the dagger want to point upwards while sheathed. The blade appears as dull as a butterknife out of the box, but considering the sheath it may be for the best that it didn’t come to that sharp.

Despite all this however, the overall quality is such that I will be keeping mine as a project knife; Making a new sheath, sharpening the edges and perhaps replacing the pommel. I’ve yet to find a fixed blade flamberge dagger this close to being actually useable.

TL;DR – won’t cut out of the box, but it’d make a good project knife.

This knife is sick as hell. It looks super cool and feels very solid in the hand.
Came out the box with a decent enough edge and extremely pointy which is perfect being as its a dagger.
You buy them to stab things, not cut them ;)
That being said I stabbed a bunch of stuff with this and it held up great.
The Flamberge Blade makes it so the blade does not sink as easily into things as a traditional dagger but that is made up for in the fact that its dope as ****.
The sheath is just fine. Over all well built and works good enough but nothing to write home about.
If you think this dagger looks bad ass or plan to become an evil wizard or something I highly recommend this dagger.

    TL;DR Very cool dagger

    Shits BADASS!!!

I love this thing, For Years I had been set upon by Rapscallions, and highwaymen at night announcing “Stand And Deliver” with nought to defend myself but a baggy of “Rusty Shackleford’s Patented Pocket Sand.” And my Longsword which is truly terrible when set upon by surprise. Now when a Brigand attempts to Arouse me I can say “AHA!!” As I whip out my dagger and announce to the rapscallion I wish them no harm but for them to simply leave me be, then I throw my pocket sand in their face and away!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha
