In Ancient Rome most Gladiators fought with relatively little armor. The armor they did use was intended more to prolong the fight than protect them from wounds.
The Brass Gladiator Shoulder Guard is generally associated with the ”Retiarius” Gladiator. The Retiarus fought with a trident and a net with no shield or helmet. The shoulder guard was generally worn on the left side and would hopefully protect the neck from a slicing blow.
The Brass Gladiator Shoulder Guard is made of solid brass with leather straps.
