Additional information

This hand-forged Medieval Knife is skillfully crafted by a blacksmith from carbon steel. Utility knives such as this were widespread and common throughout Europe from the Dark Ages (early Medieval period) all the way through to the Renaissance. The classic, practical and elegant design of these knives twists and bends the long blade tang into a handle for use. It is a practical design intended to create a working knife that would not only be simple for a skilled village blacksmith to make, but also a knife that could be made in a relatively short amount of time to ensure that it would be affordable when compared to more complex knives.

Please Note: If additional sharpening is selected we will fashion the tip into a more acute point in addition to sharpening the blade edge.
