Additional information

The Hanwei Crecy sword is an arming sword styled after an early 14th century original with a blade that has been stiffened and reinforced for thrusting with a prominent central ridge. From this rigid centerpoint the blade transitions sharply to a thin and sharp edge which can cut and slash with notable ability. These abilities make the sword well-suited for a study in the I.33 manuscript, as this sword would pair quite well with a dueling buckler alongside its versatile cut-and-thrust ability.

The blade is forged from 5160 high carbon steel and its crossguard and pommel are crafted from stainless steel. The wooden grip is bound in cord and the tang of the blade is peened over the pommel for a tough and durable overall construction. The scabbard is crafted from wood which is overlaid in leather and completed with a stainless steel chape and locket.
