The Lockwood XVIII Longsword is fitted with a sharp and tempered blade of 6150 high carbon steel. The crossguard and pommel are mild steel and the well-formed grip of poplar wood is overlaid in cord and fitted with inset risers. The grip is finished with a tight wrap of leather.
The sword is matched with a wood-core scabbard with an outer wrap of tight leather dyed a dark green. A steel chape protects the tip and the scabbard is finished with knotted anchor points for a scabbard belt crafted from bands of sturdy leather with metal buckles. Included is a sword belt with hanging straps that can be knotted and buckled to any two of the three scabbard hanging points.
