Additional information

The Type XVIII Longsword is made in the USA by Stephan Lockwood; it is fitted with a crafted 6150 high carbon steel blade. The blade was both sharpened and tempered to a hardness of 52-53 HRC. The blade has a diamond cross-section – a form that has more inherent rigidity than earlier lenticular cross section blades. The added rigidity improves the thrusting potential of the sword by ensuring that more force is transmitted into the target and not lost in an overly flexing blade.

The pommel and crossguard are cast mild steel and poplar wood grip was wrapped in cord and over-wrapped in tight leather.

Important Ordering Info: Please choose which of the three hilt component finishes you wish your custom-made sword to have from the three clickable options. You can choose what color you wish the grip to be from the listed selections available.
