Additional information

This type XVIIIa longsword by Stephan Lockwood has a blade of 6150 high carbon steel which is solidly mounted into a hilt fashioned from fine bronze. The blade was tempered to a 52 – 53 HRc finish. The masterfully-crafted grip is poplar wood with a binding cord overlay and a tight leather wrap. This sword is lively in the hand and an excellent blade in both the cut and the thrust; the extended grip gives substantial leverage for power, speed and recovery.
