This matched pair of a 15th Century Hand and a Half Sword with a wood-core scabbard are crafted by Stephan Lockwood in the USA. The diamond cross-section blade is of sharpened 6150 high carbon steel that has been tempered to a hardness of 52-53 HRC. The crossguard and pommel are of cast mild steel and the intricate grip is poplar wood tightly wrapped in cord and overlaid with form-fitted leather.

The scabbard has a body of wood and was carved to match the specific sword it is matched with. The interior of the scabbard is lined with felt and the wood is protected with an outer layer of tightly affixed leather. The scabbard is fitted with three strapped bands terminating in a trio of antiqued metal hanging buckles. The sword comes with an adjustable sword belt of leather with a main buckle of antiqued metal. It comes with a hanger with two straps that buckle onto the scabbard. Choosing which of the two straps you use will alter the fit and hanging angle of the scabbard in relation to the belt.
