Tinker Pearce Custom- 12th-14th Century Arming Sword with Wood Scabbard

SKU: TINK046 Categories: , , Tag: Brand:

Additional information

This Arming Sword is a custom creation by Michael Tinker Pearce; the blade is 5160 high carbon steel tempered to a marquenched 53 HRC hardness. The hilt is steel and the poplar grip is wrapped in linen cord and overlaid in red leather. Included is a custom wooden scabbard which is bound in brown leather. A counter-sunk nut permanently secures the hilt to the blade tang.

This cut-and-thrust arming sword is quick and responsive in the hand, yet has an authoritative heft and it does not feel flighty or delicate, but capable and confident. The blade has an excellent form for cutting and is sufficiently stiff to allow it to perform excellently as a precise thrusting blade as well.
