Tod Cutler – 15th Century Brass-Capped Bollock Dagger

$134.00

This 15th Century Bollock dagger is based on a Scandinavian example with distinctive double-arch insets carved into the hilt where is meets the base of the blade. The single edged dagger has a wedge shaped cross section with a very thick and rigid spine to create a stiff and unyielding blade with which to decisively puncture a target.

The contoured and waisted grip is designed to securely couch the hand into position and prevent it from sliding in either direction; it is well-carved from wood and topped with a brass cap embellished with a period design. The blade is secured into the hilt with a peen over the pommel for a durable construction. The dagger is matched with a stitched dual-layer leather sheath with decorative leatherwork embellishment, belt lacing ties and a brass chape.
