This solid brass mace head is not only eminently practical with its multi-faceted form, but features a bit more embellishment than many others of its form which tend toward being solely utilitarian. From Tod Cutler of the UK this mace head is ready to be fitted and mounted atop your own wooden haft. It is based on a historical 11th – 15th century design and could be seen in Scandinavia and the Byzantine Empire, as well as in the hands of Rus warriors.

Please Note: We do sell short, hardwood Ash poles which can be used to make a haft for this mace. They do not fit the socket automatically and will require some tapering and shaping of the haft to get a good fit.

This mace head is of remarkable quality! The casting is crisp and solid with no discernible flaws. It has a very nice weight, which makes it very easy to wield. Another outstanding and recommendable product from the Tod Cutler line. A unique and beautiful Type IV design!
