This fantasy Celtic sword is inspired by the bronze and iron swords used by the warriors of the Hallstatt culture of central Europe during the early iron age. It has the characteristic antennae pommel and leaf-shaped blade – a sword intended for chopping with great force due to the additional mass at its tip region.

This sword, made in the Czech Republic, has a blunt blade made from high carbon steel tempered to HRC 50-52. The hilt has been intentionally pitted to replicate the look of rough forging. The grip has been wrapped with thick leather cord. Created for stage combat, the edges are thick and blunt and the blade and its fittings have been both peened and welded for strength.

Please Note: The grip color and the type of leather grip wrap used on this sword can vary – grip colors can vary from brown to black. There may also be variations in hilt style or grip length.

Inconsistent I bought this sword twice. The first time was for use as a stage combat sword. It was a fairly nice piece with an adequate balance. I wasn’t able to keep that one, and decided to buy it again for myself a couple of years later. The second one is very different – over-heavy, badly balanced, a wristbreaker/boat-anchor. This indicates that Wulflund has a problem making a consistent product.
