JOB TITLE: Warehouse Associate
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Safely receiving and loading merchandise on a loading dock, including heavy and large packages
- Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return
- Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse using various software programs.
- Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately communicating this to the right people
- Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely, securely, and accurately moved to shelving or to the packing team
- Managing all merchandise with appropriate care
- Assisting with training of newly employed workers
You will be successful if you show up on time, communicate with members of the customer service and packing and shipping team respectfully and nicely, and pay attention to details.
If you know anything about swords, historical martial arts, live-action role playing and know of the shows “Forged in Fire” and “Knight Fight” then you’d join with some background in our field. If you don’t, that’s ok.
A failure in warehouse operations is a customer that discovers that a product we offer online isn’t in-stock or that an item is not first quality. A failure is also inaccurately tracking what inventory we have received, placing it in the incorrect locations, or movingggggg sloowwwwwlllly.
If you would like to advance from within Kult of Athena, many warehouse workers have moved into new roles over time. That opportunity remains. We prefer to grow from within.
Employees don’t fit here if they aren’t nice, don’t work efficiently, do sloppy work, and don’t follow-up.
The pay for this role is between $12.50 and $14 an hour.
This is a full-time role – 9:00 to 5:30, including a 30 minute lunch and ten minute break. You are expected to work 40 hours a week.
Health benefits are available after working six months and vacation time (beyond national holidays) begins to accrue after one year of employment. Your hourly rate will be reviewed annually.
Because of the nature of our business, we have zero tolerance for the neglect of safety policies, including being under the influence of drug or alcohol while at work. Any accidents on site will require an employee to immediately take a drug and alcohol test as part of their care.

JOB TITLE: Customer Service Representative
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Kult Of Athena is the online destination for the broadest selection of historical swords, weaponry and armor. We provide great value through both price and the staff’s service-friendly approach and knowledge. Our customers appreciate that we are helpful experts.
As a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering help and knowledge to our customers and community. You will help someone place an order online or over the phone, provide order status via email or FB/IG messenger, and provide guidance in recommending product options.
As part of a small company, everyone in the warehouse/office (it is one big building) helps each other and you will be given thorough guidance and will learn about the category on the job.
Our customers are great and passionate. We aren’t a cable company, so customer service is not a confrontational sport here.
You will be successful if you show up on time, communicate with customers and other employees respectfully and nicely, and pay attention to details. If you know anything about swords, historical martial arts, live-action role playing and know of the shows “Forged in Fire” and “Knight Fight” then you’d join with some background in our field. Our current customer service team has been here for over 4+ years – they have both taken on additional responsibility in working with our suppliers, designing new swords, and writing/photography for our website. They are ready to train new associates and then take on these new responsibilities.

JOB TITLE: Marketing Rock Star – Social Media
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Kult Of Athena is the online destination for the broadest selection of historical swords, weaponry and armor and a highlight to our online store is our clear, informative and compelling site and social media content. We have plenty of knowledge about our products, but not an overwhelming amount about social media. We need an employee who will be on-site at least 2x a week capturing content for short form video and working the rest of the time on creating and arranging posts, including short form blogs, monitoring online reviews.
Job Requirements: Well constructed and maintained social media channels – TikTok, Instagram, Youtube are mandatory. FB, Reddit and Discourse are bonus. Ability to take video from one channel and apply it to another. Understanding of purpose of each channel.
