The Siren Pipe, crafted by MacQueen Pipes of Canada, is formed from Ash wood. The stem is detachable for easy cleaning and the pipe tenon can be fitted with both charcoal and paper filters. The interior of the bowl is pre-carbonized to protect the wood.

Long-stemmed Pipes had an origin in the Ottoman Empire and from there spread into Europe during the 17th Century. They were associated with the dashing, orientalized and romanticized Hussar Cavalrymen of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and as the light cavalrymen of Europe copied the tactics, style and flair of the Hussars, so too did the smoking of a long-stemmed pipe spread it Europe. So characteristic an accessory of these cavalrymen was the long-stemmed pipe that it was known as the Hussar Pipe at the time.

A MacQueen Gift and Pipe Smoking Starter Set is available separately on our site and available via a thumbnail link on this page under the ”also available” section.
