This Sirupate Khukuri has a blade of 5160 high carbon steel. the body of the blade was left rough-polished – a move that helps much of the blade resist rust. The blade was differentially tempered to give it a hard, dull-resistant edge and a softer mid-section and spine to give the blade some shock absorption to ensure that the blade as a whole is not brittle. The pommel and bolster are of steel and the grip is made from two carved halves of rosewood stoutly riveted to the full tang.

The Kukri comes with a stitched sheath of leather with an integrated belt loop and buttoned retention strap.

A Khukuri is called a Sirupate when it has a blade in the long, elongated form. The Nepalese say that such blades are made in imitation of the Siru grasses of Nepal.
