Condor - Kondoru Katana
The Kondoru Katana is a robustly constructed utilitarian katana built for rigorous practical cutting; the blade is crafted from 1075 high carbon steel and the tsuba is thick blued steel. The hilt has full tang construction for the most durable construction possible; the thick steel tang is a one-piece extension of the blade and is strongly brass riveted to two halves of carved walnut to create the grip.
Included with the sword is a scabbard of carved walnut with fittings of antiqued blued steel and a sageo of paracord.
Please Note: This practical katana has a utilitarian finish on the blade and some scratches and scuff marks on the blade after it was polished is normal and standard.

Condor
Condor Tool & Knife of El Salvador has long been a prime source for robust and practical machetes, tools and camp gear and knives. In recent years they have been taking their know-how for durable craftsmanship and quality tempering to create swords, daggers, axes, spears, and more. Offerings from Condor Tool & Knife are typically rugged, ready for use, and competitively priced.
Condor Tool and Knife was founded in 1964 when the German Solingen-based company GEBR Weyesberg Co. expanded its operations. GEBR Weyesberg Co. was founded in 1787 and became one of the world’s largest manufacturers of knives and swords. When they founded Condor Tool & Knife they shipped state-of-the-art german manufacturing equipment to the new company and sent skilled employees to train the new workforce to make high quality and well-standardized knives, tools, and swords. Local El Salvadorean investors purchased Condor in the 1980s and it continues to run today operating 24/7 to fulfill worldwide demand.

Personally, I like the rugged aesthetic.
Craftsmanship appears to be decent / above average. Small features like the paracord wrap are done tightly and neatly but without any prideful misconceptions. The handle is smooth and flush for a nice grip; the sheath is smooth and well fitted. The wood looks good! The Katana sits well in the sheath – though it doesn’t lock, it was firmly stuck and took some force to slide out the first few times. Now it is smooth, and doesn’t feel either jammed or like it is going to jump right out without warning.
I haven’t smacked it onto anything. The blade is decently sharp and appears at sight to be of decent quality.
If you want a Katana inspired sword with that kind of rough or rugged beater aesthetic, the sword meets those expectations well. I do not doubt it would look good on display or perform in trials.
I think it is worth the price for the quality; I don’t think I would want to pay more and I don’t feel I should have paid less! Overall, happy to add this to my modest collection and hopefully this can serve as a fair review for the average prospective buyer.
